U-shaped glass for daylighting and privacy in buildings
U-shaped glass is non-combustible and offers a degree of fire resistance. It has greater mechanical strength than ordinary flat glass, excellent thermal and sound insulation, and combines light transmission with privacy, making it popular with architectural designers.
U-shaped glass can be used for non-load-bearing exterior walls, partitions, and roofs in airports, stations, offices, cinemas, sports halls, industrial buildings, and homes. It can reduce the amount of light-metal framing required, simplify construction, and create distinctive architectural effects.
U-shaped glass is produced by rolling and then forming the glass. Its name comes from its U-shaped cross-section.
U-glass classification:
According to color classification: colorless and colored respectively. Colored U-shaped glass is sprayed and coated.
Classification by surface finish: smooth or patterned.
Classification by strength and treatment: ordinary, toughened, film-coated, insulation-filled and reinforced-film glass.
