Photovoltaic U-glass

The frameless U-BIPV building-integrated photovoltaic system developed by Xiangjie Glass has a channel structure that helps cool solar cells and improve generation efficiency. Its strong, deformation-resistant modules help prevent microcracks in solar cells. Installation requires no photovoltaic mounting frame, saving time and materials. It is suitable for office curtain walls and rooftop additions in urban villages and factories. It uses available space for photovoltaic generation, conserves land, avoids the need for a separate roof insulation layer and increases income for owners.

Xiangjie Glass develops affordable U-shaped glass sunrooms and greenhouses. Reduced framing means less shading and less heat transfer through metal components. The system readily accommodates domed and pointed roofs. Double-row U-shaped glass forms an insulating cavity for winter use, avoiding the need for insulating blankets over the greenhouse. Combined with photovoltaic U-shaped glass modules, it can extend the time available for photosynthesis while retaining heat. Patterned U-shaped glass distributes light more evenly, allowing leaves at different angles and on the shaded side of plants to photosynthesize, helping improve crop yields.

The company has designed a high-strength, long-span bowstring structure that uses less material. Combined with U-shaped glass, it creates all-glass buildings that make use of sunlight and heat to reduce heating energy costs. Applications in northern regions include tall growing spaces, tropical plant gardens, cattle and sheep shelters, winter fish and shrimp farming, residential sunrooms and tourism buildings.
